Dr. Keisha Tompkins – Acting Biography
Dr. Keisha Tompkins is a dynamic woman of faith, purpose, and perseverance. Born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, she is a proud graduate of Indiana University, where she earned a dual degree in Acting and Family Studies. In 2021, she achieved a major milestone by earning both her Doctorate in Education and Doctorate of Theology, reflecting her deep commitment to lifelong learning, leadership, and spiritual growth.
In 2024, Dr. Tompkins made her official acting debut and has quickly become a rising force in faith-based and dramatic storytelling. Within her first year in the industry, she appeared in 12 films—several of which have been featured on major platforms such as Tubi and BET Plus. She is honored to play Prophetess Truth in the groundbreaking gospel soap opera Scripture’s Stage Play, a role that strongly reflects her real-life experience as a licensed minister and dedicated educator of over 20 years.
Her expanding film credits include a standout role as the judge in Dennis Reed’s latest series Street Legal Team South, and the role of Gloria in EGO TV’s short film Humble No More. She also made a special appearance in the BET Plus remake of Brewster’s Millions: Christmas, and was featured in the Tubi drama Full Custody.
Off-screen, Dr. Tompkins is an educator, entrepreneur, motivational speaker, and published author who is deeply rooted in her community. She finds joy in family, faith, and service.She notes her greatest role is being a mother to her only childand love of her life. Her personal motto—“I love people. I love God. I love God’s people.”—is a guiding principle in both her personal life and artistic journey.
Despite life’s challenges, her steadfast will to please God fuels her purpose daily. She lives by Matthew 5:16:
